Project management is the process and activity of planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals. Formal project management training is often reserved for full time professionals managing complex, large scale projects, but in reality there are many opportunities for managers, supervisors and team leaders to use the concepts and tools of project management to better manage everyday situations such as implementing a new procedure, planning an event or developing a new training program.
