This webinar is about how to manage people. Managing people successfully is at the heart of every project, every team, and every management or leadership position. Management “science” is useful when it is based on a deep understanding of human nature. But management cannot be examined just as a set of rules we can apply like a mathematical formula. The answer to many of our questions about managing is, “It depends, but there are some fundamental approaches anyone can master and apply to take the mystery out of the “depends.” Learn a simple way to analyze what will enable people to get the job done and be “managed” effectively.

Rebecca Staton-Reinstein, Ph.D. and president of Advantage Leadership, Inc., made all the classic mistakes as an inexperienced manager. She was lucky to end up working for a great manager who became her mentor and coach so she could be successful first with a small team and then with greater and greater responsibilities and leadership positions. She has worked with managers on four continents to improve their ability to lead their teams effectively. She has developed basic management and leadership instruction as part of her educational programs for clients around the world, the American Management Association, Management Centre Europe, and others. Rebecca works with companies who want to build an engaged workforce to accomplish their bottom-line goals. She is the author of several books on strategic planning and leadership and holds a Ph.D. in organizational development and psychology.
